Ed Turner ~ Coordinator of Youth Ministry and Pastoral Associate
Greetings! Welcome to the Youth Ministry Page
Ed Turner is a graduate of St. Mary's College in Orchard Lake, Michigan where he received a Bachelor of Arts Degree majoring in Theology and Philosophy. During his college years, he had the opportunity to go to Italy and experience the Vatican, St. Anthony's tomb and many other historical and spiritual places, first hand. He also had the opportunity to spend time with the Franciscan's, Capuchin's, and Benedictine Monks on vocational visits to experience monastic life in their communities during those years.
Upon graduation, he began his ministry teaching Religion in an inner city school and moving on to Notre Dame Preparatory in Pontiac, Michigan. Being more of a free spirit, Ed decided to go into Youth Ministry which he had been doing for several years. During the great recession when churches were making cutbacks, the Good Lord gave him a ministry in Chelsea, Michigan working with people having mental disabilities. This was a very challenging and rewarding position giving him the opportunity to nurture a very special group of people and to Serve God as well.
