On behalf of Resurrection Parish, I want to extend a warm welcome to all who have taken the time to inquire about our parish community and browse our website. Resurrection is a small parish of the Archdiocese of Detroit, founded in 1990. As a relatively young community, we have been committed to building on our identity as a Catholic Christian community. Our goal is to be hospitable and welcoming to all who come here. For those who wish to become members of the parish, registration is a simple matter. You may call or visit the parish office to complete a registration form. We will be happy to offer you our ‘Welcome Packet’ that is filled with information about our parish programs. If you would like to meet with me personally, I would be happy to do so.
All the members of our parish are encouraged to be good stewards of their time, talent and treasure and to participate in some form of service. Our parish is young chronologically with many of our programs focused on young people. For example, we offer Liturgy of the Word for Children at most weekend Masses, a monthly Children’s Mass, and a summer Vacation Bible School. We have an active youth ministry program as well.
Our faith formation program, Generations of Faith, welcomes all the members of the parish—young, old, everyone in between—to grow more deeply in our faith. You may visit the page of Kevin Tishler, our Director of Faith Formation, for further information about Generations. We also regularly provide opportunities for spiritual growth and enrichment, including parish missions, renewal and retreat experiences, marriage enrichment and faith sharing groups, as well as a number of opportunities for Christian service.
You are always welcome at Resurrection Parish. Please stop by for a tour or join us for Mass on weekends, Tuesdays and Fridays. If you have any questions about the parish, the church, or the Catholic faith, please feel free to contact us.
On behalf of our parish family, I wish you peace and blessings in the Risen Lord, Father Ken Chase (Reverend) Kenneth M. Chase, Pastor |
