Adult Volunteer - New Virtus Account

(Adults are 18+ and Completed High School/GED/Equivalent)

• On your computer, go to www.VirtusOnline.com
• Create a new account - User ID and Password
• Select Detroit and Resurrection
• You will be prompted to complete a Code of Conduct and Authorize a Background Check
• Now you will be able to select either and In Person or Online training.  Both are on a set date and time.
• If you need assistance due to distance or technology to complete the training, please reach out to the staff at Resurrection and we will find a solution.
• You will attend in person or login to your account to participate in the training.

Adult Volunteer - Recertify

(Adults are 18+ and Completed High School/GED/Equivalent)

• On your computer, go to www.VirtusOnline.com
• Log into your account using your User ID and Password
• Forgot your User ID or Password?
• DO NOT CREATE A NEW ACCOUNT
• Contact Jennifer at Resurrection for assistance accessing your current Virtus account.
• Once in your account you may need to update one or more of the following:
• Training expired (recertify every 3 years)
• Background Check expired (renew every 2 years for volunteers and every year for employees)
• Sign the code of conduct - This is a new requirement as of 2023, existing accounts that have not been active since 2023 will be prompted to read and sign.
• There are tabs at the top of your screen
• make sure you are on the HOME tab
• In the CURRENT TRAINING field or login to your account to participate in the training.

Teen Volunteer

(Teens are currently attending High School)

• On your computer, go to www.VirtusOnline.com
• Create a new account - User ID and Password
• Select Detroit and Resurrection
• Minors are not required to complete a background check at this time.
• Select the Healthy Relationships for Teens 2.0 Online Module Expansion with Safe Environment Components.  This is a self-paced series of short videos with a question at the end of each one.
• Catholic High Schools cover this in religion class.  If you transferred and unsure if you have taken this course, please ask your school or reach out to Resurrection.
