Confirmation Class Service Project Update
We are so grateful for the wonderful generosity of the Resurrection community! We had an SUV filled with new clothes, shoes, and toys for unaccompanied minors. Starr Commonwealth in Adrian is housing children from Central America while they wait to be reunited with their parents or caregivers. Thanks for blessing these young people during a difficult and stressful season of their lives. Resurrection sure knows how to care for God’s people!! Help Our Confirmation Candidates Help Others!
Resurrection’s Confirmation candidates have learned about children in need in our community and they want to make a difference! In response to an urgent request from the U.S. federal government, Starr Commonwealth is opening its Albion campus to help alleviate the developing humanitarian challenge at the southern border. A leader in healing trauma and building resilience in children, Starr has signed a facilities agreement to allow the Administration for Children and Families to utilize its 350-acre campus as a safe haven. ACF intends to provide temporary shelter for up to 240 unaccompanied migrant children as it works to unite them with their family or sponsors.
